Kombo Studio is now Nightly Ventures
This blog is still here for historical purposes. Please see here for more information.
Unfortunately, under pressure from Nintendo, I had to remove lukomon Pokédex from the App Store. Sorry.
I am however working on a slimmed down ‘training tools’ application which will see the light in the coming months (iOS + Android).
I’m so glad to finally make this announcement! After a long and intensive process of rewriting, redesigning and rethinking the Minecraft Helper app, we’re at the point of releasing Minecraft Helper 2.0 to beta testers!
This is a major update, hence the 2.0 version bump. This release will feature:
- A complete redesign (less plain, more Minecraft)
- Automatic database updates
- New artwork
Most significant are the automatic database updates. With Minecraft being a beta game with many releases and many new blocks every release, it is hard to stay on track with new data. To tackle this problem, a new data updating system will be introduced to deliver new data on Blocks and Items without having to do a complete app update.
Participate in the beta!
If you’d like to participate in the Minecraft Helper 2.0 beta, please opt in on our TestFlight page.
Slice based export of Minecraft block drawables, straight from the source. Man, I’ve really done this by hand one day..
It’s been some time since Black & White released. We’ve been working full-time to implement all the data and we’re happy to announce lukomon Pokédex 1.5 will bring you almost all the info. Except for item effects, Pokémon shapes and habitats you’ll be able to look-up any info regarding Black & White!
However, we thought ‘just’ adding B/W data would be boring. That’s why we decided to implement some surprises. We won’t tell you what it is, but we’re hopeful you’ll love it as most of these things were requested by you guys… :-)
lukomon Pokédex 1.5 has been submitted to Apple and should be available in a few days.
Announcing Pokémon Training Tools for Android
This is something we’ve been working on for a while. A set of Training Tools that will help the competitive battler in their quest to train the ultimate Pokémon!
Pokémon Training Tools made it’s first appearance in lukomon as an IV/EV Calculator and later on an EV Tracker by popular demand. These tools turned out to be of great help to trainers and we received a lot of great feedback so far. Behind the scenes we’ve redesigned both tools and have added some nifty features as well.
These images show the EV Tracker section. New features are the ability to enable items and Pokérus. An awesome autofill and history feature will also be available! Our aim is to make it not only to bring you the best Pokémon tool but also one of the best Android apps!
Hard work is being done to bring it to Android users as soon as possible. Pokémon Training Tools will be released for iOS too and this redesign will make it into lukomon Pokédex as well.
LOL, stupid typo! We wanted to bring you English B/W Pokémon names as soon as possible, but veekun didn’t support those names at the time. So we had to manually edit all the Pokémon names. We did this as fast as we could so you would get the update really soon (sadly enough Apple took long to review), but by editing the names we probably made some typos. While playing Pokémon White, I searched for ‘Servine’, however the app came up with nothing! What was the problem, it’s listed as ‘Servince’ in our database. Will be of course fixed in the coming update!
lukomon Pokédex 1.5
You’ve just got your hands on lukomon 1.4 but hopefully version 1.5 will be arriving soon. This update will bring you all the Black & White data. We’re also working as hard as we can to implement some surprises you guys requested… :-). We’re sorry to hear some people are disappointed by the lack of some features. We’ll do our best to bring them. Thanks for your support!
Oh and of course have fun playing Pokémon Black & White! I’m just past the first gym and it’s totally awesome. Not too much time to play though because of lukomon development!
* Actually, Simon (who arranges our beta testing and communication) has just defeated the first game leader, personally I (programmer, designer, owner of Kombo Studio) haven’t had the time to play the new Pokémon because of lukomon development.
